I dug it out- it had split completely into 2, hopefully salvaged the setting, and will be sending it off to a very kind soul who has offered to cut me a cabochon to fit in the setting (please check out his shop...he has lovely lovely stones!) - stonesinmotion.etsy.com. It's a custom order so it's very much appreciated! I will take pictures of the finished product when it's fixed up.
